![]() Can someone tell me a little bit about the Buzzball TTC bases? I noticed in the photos that it has a different shaped dial. I was just curious as to how well they performed. In my short experience, it seems like the Miggle Standard and Old Frosty TTC Bases are kinda useless out the box and I'm not all that comfortable tweaking yet. Though the dials on the Old Frosty bases seem to be a little better. I'm gettering ready to order the Strong Proline Rookies, but I've heard mixed reviews on the Proline TTCs.

![]() I actually really like them. The way they are built, I do not think that you can control their direction with the dial. I can tweak them to be fairly fast (not as fast as the buzzball clear speed bases), but they are ok. The best part about them is that once they are tweaked, they head real straight and do not jump around. They are somewhat heavy, so I guess that helps them be stable. I use them for TE bases mainly and maybe a LB or two to cover the middle or provide extra push with the d-line. I have also used them as WRs, but they are not going to bounce off a corner and get open like a clear buzzball speed will do. They are great when you use sticks for passing because they are very reliable to hit the ball stick.
Reading your post, sounds like you do not tweak yet. I will say that the prongs on these bases are real long out of the pack, so they will sit up real high. I would have to think that you would at a minimum have to cut them down some to use them. I have not tried one untweaked/uncut yet. Last edited by ChetDakota : 04-24-2009 at 09:27 AM. |

![]() Those bases are actually called DDB.George should be coming out with his TTC in the near future.I have not worked with his DDB base yet. From some reviews you can make them very fast.Pratt had some at buzzball very strong.

![]() The prongs on the front are on the dial. You can't move the dial.Looks like if you trim the dial you might be able to move but the dial is not tight on the nipple of the shell. You could put a TTC dial in the DDB shell or take the DDB dial and put in a TTC base. Hope this helps.I need to start working with mine to.

![]() Yeah...I think the dial/DDB design was a mistake made at the molding or production stage. That said, these bases are very good stable platforms. The prongs are at the corners, very much like the newer Proline rookies. I have tweaked them for speed with good success. Easy to get them to run straight and true. I have gotten some strength with these bases as well, but it is harder to do that on a consistent basis. I have been experimenting with putting DDB dials in other shells and vice versa and that has been productive. The plastic for these bases is good quality...soft and pliable...kind of like the Prolines.

![]() Unfortunately, someone outbid me in the last 10 seconds of an auction for these bases today. Probably one of the guys on this board no doubt! I don't see them on the Buzzball website either. Oh, well.
