![]() Why not put the holder on the side of the board (rail) so, players dont run into the structure holding the football. This way the only thing hanging in the field of play is the football.

![]() A clip of some sort would work. A clip with the wire going up and over to cover all areas of the playing field. Make the wire pivotable. Allow the string to be made longer or shorter. This way the apparatus can be stable at one point on the outside of the board. Like a crane.
