Default The EF Evolution

It looks like you are on to something. If you manufacture that new base, it will be the beginning of electric football changing as we know it. Leagues should begin making preparations for this new base. We can start by discussing how this base will be integrated with existing bases and figures throughout the hobby. Innovation, Innovation, Innovation.

Default A step farther

You could also have a "sweet" spot on the front of the ball carrier's base that when hit with
enough impact would pop off the head of the ball carrier, kinda like
Rock'em Sock'em Robots.

Think I need to get some sleep

Frank used the laser when I played him a year ago , and I am still half blind. He had it pointed at my eyes the entire game !!!
Funny thing , I have not beat him since he broke out that light, up til then I was 3-0 vs him , since then I am 0-4

rollo,

great stuff!!!!

one thing about the concept is it will make every one play FOB - front of the base tackles

If it has not been said before - YOU HAVE MAD SKILLS!!!!!!!!!

Great explaination and diagram!

Default Roller

I had somewhat the same idea. But I'm still messing with the weight issue. trying to get it down to fit the 3.2-3.3 g weight. 4.0 and above it actually works fine because you tweak the base like tweaking for a weighted team. So it's not a theory it can work. K-Lo it does lead towards FOB tackling but DB's on all plays could have the surround foiled base to aid in pass tackling. That I think would be for the leagues to decide.

interesting to see this post pulled back up...Jeff and I actually pulled out Frank's laser (shown in the first picture) to determine the spot of the football in our game last weekend. I would have guessed that my player crossed the first down marker but sure enough when the laser was pulled out he was shy, making it 4th and inches. Frank and I were talking about how it would be nice to have the laser attached to the side line to mark such things as 10 yards past LOS or the QB max drop depth, heck even the LOS would be cool. Anyways...definately fun to think of new ideas and it was cool to actaully use the laser in a practical way.
