![]() it does matter. They (nfl) usually ties the player(s) going in with the teams playing. So when you know that the all time leading rusher and receiver are going in at the same time(may be 50yrs before this happens again) then take into consideration the 2 teams that they come from...49ers vs Cowboys was almost a no-brainer!!!
But like John said, they probably want to get the home town crowd interested. For me going to see the 49ers when they come to philly is like taking your life in your hands. Those eagles fans are crazy. It would have been a big treat for me to actually be able to cheer for my squad. Chris your a Vikings fans. If you had Randall, Jim Marshall, and another vike going in the same year....there's a good chance that the Vikings would play in the HOF game. A couple of years ago the Skins played in the game...Monk and Green went in. Nat'l

![]() I can see it if the NFL is trying to tie the teams playing
in with the players being inducted.Makes sense, but if not,I say make it a random choice each year. I honestly never knew that this was the way it was decided.Never gave it much thought.Just figured they picked the teams out of a hat or something. You learn something new every day.....
