![]() I know some of you have had this idea, but Michagan Joe's post of creating new ideas for the game and some good advice got me going on this little project. Now if only someone knew how to create a tiny little light for front of base tackeling.A light only used on the r.b's,but would only light up if the front of the base of the defender would hit him. We would need a device that would only go on the defender's front bases that when engaged with the r.b's front base,it would only then light up. Just a thought. I hope you like the pics.

![]() Great idea Frank! I used a laser sight for this purpose awhile back but the Black and Decker tool is alot less expensive. Excellent.

![]() That is really cool! The original idea is great and I can't believe you followed thru so quickly and how good it looks. For me there is nothing better than to see an original idea turn into reality. I will brain storm the "lighted" tackle base concept when driving to Miggle....can you imagine if we could get that idea to work in a simple manner?

![]() I can see a use for this immediately! In some rules the entire yard must be made to get credit or not.In other words the runner is stopped on the 22 1/2 yard line the line of scrimmage would be the 22. On close calls it would act as the "chain gang". Nice job Frank!

![]() Nice job Frank! But you know it is not going to help your Earl Campbell against my run defense .

![]() I have an idea to do this...
It would require foil tape, a watch battery and either an led for lighting the tackled ball carrier or a mini cell phone buzzer motor (this would most likely knock the ball carrier over -- simulating a tackle ![]() I will show pics of what I am talking about later today... just an idea. Maybe someone could run with it? ![]() Roller

![]() The issue with some form of electronic base is its size. If you wanted to create a base that lights when it contacts another base, some type of electronic circuit would have to be mounted within the base. The circuit will have to be compact enough to allow the base to continue to move freely as it does now. Along with its compactness, the circuit would have to produce its own power. Transistors are as small as a pin head, but they still need other larger electronic components in order to work. The inside of your computer is a perfect example of what I am talking about. The processor has millions of transistors mounted on it. The power of those transistors is translated through the motherboard.
I think remote base manipulation and response of any kind will have to start at the board itself because it has enough space to accommodate the necessary electronics needed to control the game. Maurice The Electric Coach
