![]() ![]() ![]() Chris- Sounds like a great solution for the playoffs. I think Jeff was eluding to a similar format when we talked this weekend. Jeff- For regular season I agree it would be ideal to have a set schedule, but that gets tough for various reasons. What do you think of this...to qualify for the divisional playoffs you simply have to played enough games regular season games. Then the regular season determines the seeding for the divisional playoffs. That way, if you loose 5 games to start the season you are never out of it and you don't have to get overly concerned about who played out of conference games, who didn't, strength of schedule, etc. Everybody's always ready to be cinderella for that playoff run. Its not the way the NFL does it but I think that would be fun for eveyone involved.

![]() Joe, I think that you definately have to play the right amount of games to begin with, and I also agree that playing a set schedule is kind of tough. However, there should be a bye for the top seeds, and also a certain amount of wins so that we don't have everybody in the playoffs. We are heading that way, and with more dedication from our coaches (to get their games in)we will get there. A.J had a great idea for those of you who could meet up and play "less boxes", but get in more games when your division meets up. That way you can get in a bunch of games. We undersatand that time is of the essence, and very important. We want and need to get this thing headed to where all of our "out of town coaches" know that they can get all of their games in. Great comment Joe. We will get this right with Jeff and Chris. They are very flexible, and great to work with. Please don't ever hesitate to call them.

![]() Here are some more thoughts on Playoffs and game clock adjustments.
I think everyone should get in the playoffs that have made and an effort to get their games in, but like Frank I think the top 2 or 4 teams should get a bye. I think a set schedule would be great with coaches given the options of making up games that can't be played at a certain time. (Example Team 1 is scheduled to play team 2 week one but one of the coaches can't make it so they make it up later in the season when they can get together) Having a set schedule gives everyone something to play towards and requires them to commit by a certain date. with some kind of flexibility for extra games when the opportunity arises. I like AJ's shorter game option although I would give each coach an extra time out in the fourth quarter to add some end of game excitement and I have ideas for speeding up the special teams as well. No rush on field goals, just line up the kicker 7 yards from the line and have him kick it similar to Extra points. Automatic 40 yard punts with no return. No manual kickoffs just have recieving team put three guys between the goal and 10 yard line, one in the center and on the left of hash and right of hash, allow the kicking team choose which guy gets the ball run the play 3 seconds with receiving player stationary, adjust, and run the play. My 2 cents |

![]() I don't think that we would need to shorten the game to 6 boxes if we would just start using the setup clocks, LIKE WE ARE SUPPOSE TO!!
![]() ![]() I liked how we did the schedule last season, more than any other, everyone has 10-12 set opponents that they must play, but they can play them at any time during the season, and 2-4 open games that can fit in whoever shows up.

i blocked an important field goal a couple of weeks ago, so i say lining up on field goals is crucial and is going to stay. Let's not get ridiculous throw all of our hard work in setting up fair rules out of the window just to get a couple of more plays in. We already have ways to speed up the game within our rule set, we just need to utilize it. I have played multiple games this year in excess of 3 hours because guys are taking 5 minutes to set up each play. You take that out of the equation, and I assure you that games will go by a lot faster.
