Default Dixie School for Beginners

I just wanted to say a special thank you to Lavelle Shelton and Joel Pritchard. Lavelle opened up his home to me and the league for the day.

I was able to sit and watch one of the founding MF fathers at his best in his basement. Lavelle, I am so thankful for your friendship. I feel like we have known each other for years. You are that kind of a person. Truly a special giving personality. One in a million. What a warm home and family you have.

Watching him work, it still seems almost impossible that Joel Pritchard has only been at this for about a year now. Joel, you've been a mentor to me from the very beginning. I'll never forget all the time you have taken explaining things to me in a way I can understand. All the work you have put in getting me up to speed. In the MF dictionary, next to edification, there is a picture of you.

It was fantastic getting to watch you two guys at work today. I only wish I could have stayed longer. 6 hours flew by. You both should have gone into professional teaching.

Today's curriculum:

1. Painting and detailing
2. How to pass with a tweaked TTQB
3. How to kick with a tweaked TTQB
4. Advanced base tweaking for strength and speed

Humbled and very thankful for all the hospitality and fellowship you guys have extended to this newbie.

Best,

Chris BigFranco Franco

Pay attention Commissioners, this is how you build a league. One strong member at a time. Teach them everything you know and you will have a strong league. Share every aspect of the hobby that you love and keep them coming back for more.

Welcome BigFranco, you have definitely landed in a very cool place. Those guys are all class.

Default Or...

I know how you feel Chris. I've known Mr. Shelton for years and whenever I know he's coming I look for him like a puppy looks for lil kiddies thru the window. He's a great guy just to be around, even if we don't ever get to play MF. It's just a blessing to be in the presence of his spirit.

Same with Joel and Mark. I just met these two guys at The Seawall BRAWL last year and there freshness and boyish fervor were as great to be around as Mr. Shelton.

Oh, BTW, do you think Joel could pass foreither of these guys?

You are right on with your comments. B-Nutt opened the door and Lavelle took me aside the first day I met him in the Dixie League and sat me down and went over EVERYTHING!!!!
Than he countinued to keep watch over me even to this day. That is what makes our league so much fun (because the share evrything) It is because of guys like Lavelle - B-Nutt and Joel that no matter how little time life allows me to spend playing the hobby these guys do not forget me and help all stay updated...So to these guys - I say thanks and look forward to 2008 in the Elf world....
