Universal rule set
Dre,
All I can say is, it will happen if I have anything to do with it. As a memeber of the Board of Directors, it is my #1 objective. From the poll that was taken this past summer, it is something a lot of coaches want. Coming up with a basic set of game play rules is not that difficult. The biggest challenge is with the many variations in equipment now available (ie. figures, bases, weight limits, tweaking methods, game table sizes). What do you allow? Peronally, I think anything and everything should be allowed. If it was made to be used to play the game, then it should be allowed. There are those who will stretch things to the limit to gain a competitive edge, but then it is up to you to figure out how to beat it. That is what has lead to the many innovations that we now have available. So why not be able to use them to your advantage.
We have come a long way since the first attempts at doing this and I do believe it can happen.
Any one willing to work on this, please let me know, give me your ideas and I will present it to the Board of Directors.
Thanks
