Although the widetops have more stability, they won't solve all balance issues. I recommend adding weight using that blue putty under the base to solve those problems....

Also, the Proline rookie base/strong is a VERY stable platform, but only the first run sets were good....have to wait for new ones, or get some old ones for mucho $. I think the new "TTC" bases Buzzball put out are very stable...and good quality....but the dial is just silly, you have very little turning ability....if at all....but they are an excellent quality "rookie style" base. The prongs in all these bases are at the corners and give great stability...and the plastic is good quality for tweaking!
