Miggle 2000 Deluxe Electric Football Board
 

I have a question from anyone who is willing to assist me. This is my first post and I would like to say that this has been a very informative site. Since getting back into minature football, I've been like a kid in the candy store. This reminds me of when I was a kid and ordered a team or two from tudor and I would check the mail box everyday waiting for the little brown box.I have been painting teams and will post a few pictures later on, but my
question is " Has anyone played on the new Model 2000 Deluxe Electric Football game from Miggle with the new vibrating system? and How would you grade the board? I just purchased one online, any assistance would be greatly appreciated

As JIMBO said previously CANCEL YOUR ORDER. If you are unable to make a custom board then you would be better off with a 620 gameboard. Hope this helps.

thanks for the response but the board has already been shipped, will have to give it a tried.

Tried making a custom board but I'm not getting the vibration that is need to make the players move a little faster. Removed a motor from one of the smaller boards that I have (which i discovered was not a motor but a DC solenoid running on AC) and will give it a try.

Don't be discouraged by your purchase. I think the Miggle Deluxe board is an exellent starting platform for modifications, if you don't like it then tear it apart and add some custom motors. You'll end up with something usable.

The key to the 620 as was mentioned, VINTAGE, do not buy a new Miggle 620whatever you do.

As already mentioned, don't worry too much about what you paid up for. A LOT of guys on this forum (me included) didn't care much for that board. BUT, I had the experience at the Baltimore convention of pulling one fresh out of the box and putting it together w/some much appreciated help. For the record, the "help" did an equal amount of the labor while we later assisted Ant at applying the field cover (he is a pro at it).

That board was used for the Miggle SB and performed very well. Ant and I broke it in playing an MPFL style demo scrimmage w/2 fully weighted (no weight limit) teams. Don Smith and I tweaked a couple of No-Weight "show teams" on the spot (and w/a quickness) which also performed very well. So..... mixed reviews. Pot luck? Maybe. Not sure. But I have to be fair. That board would have been welcomed in my home. And I am not easily pleased w/boards or bases.

+1 on a vintage 620. Best bet is either a vintage 620 Grass or vintage 620 Turf.

Also in fairness, NO two boards will be exactly the same even if built by the same hands w/nearly identical pieces and technique. So, no matter which board you own or choose, YMMV.
