That's it: i'm done with Excalibur!!!

 Hey guys, i would like to share my dissapointment against Excalibur. I tried several tinmes during the year about when the NFL teams will be available and the pushed back again and again and again and guess what?? again.

Now the answer they gave me today is that they don't know if they will produce theses teams finally. What a waste of time. They should give back the liscencing to Miggle or maybe we should encourage our custom MF maker but one thing's for sure, it is over with Excalibur. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

What do you think about that?

There's a lot of peoples around the world who played some table top games such as miniature football, table baseball, fomula dice, every kind of table hockey games, Subbuteo soccer, slot car racing and even custom tabletop sports games that can be played one-on-one or even in solitaire. Maybe it is time to regroup all together and create a king of world tabletop sports games association. What do you think about that?

Send me a PM or a e-mail (flickhockey@yahoo.com)

Give me your feedback.

Excalibur is not an exclusive EF/MF company. Vibrating football is just one of their many ventures. I must admit that their customer service is terrible. I was once told by customer service (I use the term loosly) that they would no longer be producing the figures, or bases for the Vibrating Football Game. I kinda put two & two together, and considered the ignorance, and resistance of the customer service agent not trying to find a solution, or answer to my questions...and just wrote her off just wanting to get rid of me. I later found out that the NFL has set a higher standard on Excalibur. Their new figures must pass expection by the NFL. I would guess the reason that the release date keeps getting pushed back is because the NFL is not yet satisfied with what is being presented to them. I also heard that the current AFC/NFC Excalibur figures will no longer be produced, due to not meeting the approval of the NFL. You can continue to bash Excalibur if you want to, but I think that we are fortunate to have any big company throw their hat into the ring to try to produce quality EF/MF products.

you may be right but is been over a year than thay have the liscencing and what progress this company have made?? Nothing, Zippo, Nada, Rien. At least Miggle give us some good quality and their teams looks very well considering the price that they sell their teams. And by the way, it is not a bashing issue, i think that all the MF coaches were very patient with this company and it is time (i think) that they have to proof me that they are not a joke and they take MF/EF seriously

Excalibur Whenever

As I see it, we have enough going here. We have Buzzball, Footballfigures.net, Miggle as well as the other independent manufacturers. Due to that fact, I am not worried about when Excalibur is going to launch their products.

In regards to tabletop games as a whole, my concern is about electric football; not only because I play it. It’s because among all of the tabletop games, it has gotten the worst rap. I have heard more negative stories about electric football than any other game probably in history.

I agree with Maurice

Who needs them? We have enough guys right here in our circle that we can support. They (excalibur) never showed me that they were going to do the hobby any justice anyway.

Yes I do have the excalibur set. Just got it to have it. Never opened it tho.

Yep, what he said.

Stop it, really! Excalibur needs some time, be patient, as was mentioned this is not their sole interest and money maker, it was for Miggle, but not for Excalibur.

If you want more info out of this company you have to push a lot farther up the ladder than a customer service rep in a catalog call center earning $10.00an hour. She could give a rat's arse about your NFL teams, right??? Come on, expand the mind and seek the truth.

I have also heard that the NFL is holding them to a much higher standard, so there is truth to this. Hopefully because of this we will end up with better looking more detailed figures than Miggle was offering. They are in tune with the MF pulse even though many of you don't think so. Getting things done in companies like this takes time.

Why is everyone in such a hurry to get NFL teams again anyway? It's not like EBay isn't filled to the brim with Miggle NFL teams, if you are "jonesing" that bad for an NFL team paint and decal one yourself or buy from the many talented artists out here.

I guarantee you, all the Excalibur bashers will be the first in line to get the hottest new item(s) when it comes out though, you can bet on that!

Loyalty and support is what this company needs in these tough economic times. I have Excalibur boards, accessories, bases and teams, their TTQBs are the best thing out right now (if you still like to use this style QB), as Miggles can't even think of comparing.

I have said this before, we need to support them now for what they may offer us in the future.

There are too many other options available to me including but not limited to painting them myself!!! I don't have time for any business or organization to hold back my passion. If I want it bad enough and at least the bare parts are there,I'll get it done somehow.

I have to agree with Shabby

The NFL is in the business of making money--serious money. If they feel, at any point that one of their divisions no longer can justify their investment, then they will drop it like a hot potato, trust me. Until then, give them time, and if they do drop it, there will always be someone to come along and fill the void--let's just hope it does not take so long.

Why even worry about Excalibur

From what I have been observing Excalibur has not been serious about
miniature football. Their product is/was quickly produced and honestly
seemed cheap in construction.

Now the NFL wants a higher standard for manufactured teams/players!?

The NFL knows about this site and all you guys who take the time and
effort to design and produce quality MF products. The problem is they
want the majority of the profits.

Meanwhile, all who are associated with MF will continue to reap the
benefits from our own little community like better larger boards, better
teams and team poses, as well as the extraneous field dress, stadiums etc.

One thing though, I'm not too good at building or constructing, could someone
make a plain old manual scoreboard?
