Miggle facemasks

I;m about to order s few sets of facemasks - I haven't ordered any in a few months but the ones that I did get were much stiffer than usual abd hard to get from the sprue and "round" - did I just get a bad batch, or is this how that are now????

Face Masks....

Ed,
Be carefull .I was attacked for the very same questions on the
Miggle site.Hope you have better luck than I did.But in answer to
your inquiry,the ones I have are " stiffer" than usual too.It just
takes a little more effort to work them.This is what works for me;
cut them from spru with snips;bend them as best you can around
a paintbrush or something round/hard.I use a stainless steel spatula
my dad had laying around.It is the size (diameter ) of a paint brush.Works
pretty good.Then i take flat-nose pliers and work the outside edges (bend in)
to get a slight bend so they fit the helmet better.
Hope this helps.

I do pretty much the same thing with the pliers, needle nose, I form the mask so it's a nice curve, then fit it on the figure.

I use a small pair of wire cutters to cut the mask from the sprue, or other times I will spin the whole mask in one direction until it comes off. Then I trim excess from the sides with the nippers.

I use Chris Stacey's method. If you try to use the pliers before spinning the mask on a brush you will get that -V- shape rather than a -U- shape.

Ed,

No trouble man. Chris was simply implying that he asked the same question awhile back and people took it the wrong way. I didn't but some did. After all Chris and I share the same birthdate. 02-27.
