Multi-stop / Weighted Tourney
 

Hey Fellas!

I was just wondering how many would be interested in participating in a multi-stop/weighted tournament this October/November here in Maryland?

I think most of the participants would be local, but I understand that there are a few coaches outside of the DC Metropolitan area that have weighted teams or would be possibly interested.

As of now, this is just a thought. At this point, I would say there is a 30% chance of this happening this October/November.

Also, as of now, games would be played over two meetings... Once in October (one day) and the finals and championship in November (also one day) and it would be a single game elimination tourney.

Not sure how to do a voting poll thing, so any feedback would be great.

Hey EC,

As of now, the plan is to hold it at a facility in Clinton, Maryland located in PG County.

Like I said, this is really just a thought for now. Just need to see if there really is an interest for a tourney featuring this style of game play.

You know I would be there for that type of tournament. I have played that style more than I have any other style. Come coaches step up to the plate and lets make this happen.

Greetings to you my friend. Unfortunately fall is not a good time for me to attend. Still I would be interested in being a part of a tournament in that style of play if it were held at a different time of the year. I have seen demonstrations on that style of play and liked what I saw. Good luck on putting this together.

Everyone, thanks for voting. Maurice, Mike and Coach J, thanks for responding. Also thanks to all the coaches that sent PMs or email.

Unfortunately, I will have to table this for now. There is something else already planned for October. An announcement will me made soon.

However, based on the responses, it was more positive than I anticipated. That is definitely good to know. So, for now, we are going to table this possibilty until further notice.
