TDK IS AWESOME!
Four of us from the Harrisburg and York regions of the NHFL invaded Pratt's house on Saturday for our regional NHFL games. Aside from having an absolutely AWESOME time there (as usual) I also had the pleasure of toying with the new TDK kicker that Geno Hendricks makes. How I was trying it was hysterical in itself.
It's the last game of the night and Pratt is playing Jeff Lau on Pratt's new HUMONGOUS board. He attempts a 54 yard FG (which is about 25 actual yards on that monster) and misses the kick. He missed a few kicks that day already so I asked for his kicker. I got him dialed in and then proceeded to ask how much he wanted for the kicker! One man's junk is another man's treasure. LOL! About that time George pulls out a TDK and hands it to me to try out. So I'm sitting at the one endzone and George's son is holding the goal post in the other endzone. I think it was George's son anyway, I could barely see him from that far away. Pratt and Jeff are playing their game and I'm kicking right over the top of them! LOL! So I set the ball on the tee and pull this little string thinking to myself, "I'll probably hit one of the receivers that are on the field at about the 50." I let it go and HOLY TOLEDO! The ball ended up in the driveway!! I missed the 110 yard FG but truthfully I wasn't even aiming. So I tried it again and missed it wide left but as I looked at the kicker he was angled to the left too. Third shot, BINGO! What a kicker!! Now I'll be the first to tell you that I'm cheap. Paying $15 for a kicker is crazy I thought. BUT I have changed my mind on that! The new Miggle kickers are terrible and have been for years since they stopped with that GOOD yellow plastic. Those are now pretty hard to come by. I would spend easily $15 for TTQB's and still not have a good kicker! So if your kicking game is struggling I personally recommend the new TDK's from Geno. I'll be using one after our College League and the 2009 NHFL is done. Those things are awesome! Geno, Bring me a couple when you come to the Buzzfest. RAIDERMAN |
The things I have to endure just trying to finish out a game! Trying to set up my next play during a NAIL BITER while the peanut gallery is launching ICBM's from my dining room table, past my ear hole and out into the driveway. mgngcrz What RM DIDN'T disclose is how close they had my opponent to going postal on them. They were whining for us to hurry up and finish while they were launching potentially lethal kicks across our bow. I thought Jeff was gonna stomp a mud hole in both of y'alls butts before we were done. :fghttt: As for me, I'm use to it. I also have the comfort of knowing that if they get too much on my nerves I can turn them all into instant dog food. :D
I have a TDQB and like it a lot. But it doesn't get game reps since I am a lefty. I'd be all over the kicker too except, well, I am a lefty. I approve endorse the use of both. Just not effective or efficient for me personally. If/When the lefty versions are available I will get them on the team. HINT HINT - Geno, Bring Lefties to the Fest. At least one QB and one Kicker. drl$$ -Mike Pratt |
agreed...
...........that Pratt takes for ever to play !!!!:rtfl:
On a serious note, .........I think Geno did a great job on both the Qb and Kicker, which is why I have bought about 4 QBs and a couple of kickers...thmbsp$ |
Raiderman did you try the AUTOKICK? ftbll$

What?
The what? All I know is I pulled the string and let it go and that was last we say of that poor felt football. LOL!

Rest the Kicking Foot behind the footrest first though, then, set your Football in the right angle on the TDK's Tee, and turn on the power!! The TDK's foot will start to slide " in about 2 seconds or less " and kick's the Pig Skin through the uprights!! You can View the Video too on how I did it. I was an accident that was ready to be born.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcBbNpwDW_A |
When he kicked the felt ball it was reduced to table lint before it landed. Kinda looked like beating dust out of a rug on the clothes line with a stick. POOF!
