All the Work Pays Off!

My kids know the speeches like the back of their hand. They've been hearing them all their lives. So when my kids saw this come in the mail, they gave me a speech about how "all the work pays off". I thought it was good for them to turn it around on me.

I've been waiting on this for quite some time. I have worked at Think tanks and in engineering labs and have been on patent teams. The difference is that the company walk away with the glory for your hard work because they hired you to do a job. I use to do the job for 14-16 hour work days to help create the 1st Generation cell phone. I did it creating helicopters at Bell Helicopters with a thank you and good bye.

But this is the 3rd patent and it's mine-all mine! I wrote it! I did the claims, the research, etc. This has been long overdue. I see all the negative things written about me but that helps me to persevere! It gives me a sense.

Most guys know I get about 4 hours of sleep. Been doing it for 35 years. I've been inventing all my life but for once, I've got an invention that I took from start to end with little or no legal help. The patent process is an expensive process but for me, a necessary process!

Just wanted to take a moment and share with some that may be happy for me what perseverance has done for me. It may not mean much to some and that's okay but for all the long hours and creativity and blood and sweat and tears, this is really special for me.

My idol is Thomas Alva Edison. I can't even walk in his socks, let alone his shoes, but watching movies on this guy was the inspiration I needed to get this patent. Now, I've got to market this thing to the fullest!
