Choosing what team to use.
 

Need some advice from all the coaches. Hopefully I will be forming a league here in New Castle, Pa. very soon. With that said, all of the members but two are Steeler fans including myself. What would be the best way to have coaches select teams?

I prefer to let coaches use their favorite teams. I think a coach might try alittle harded if they are using their favorite team. This can be accomplished a couple of ways.
1 : have all players in your league have the offense in dark and defense in white. this is done in a few leagues around the country already .
2 : Have a playoff between the guys that want to use that team, winner gets the team
3 : Seniority. The coach that has the longest stint in your league wins
4 : The old flip a coin
5: If someone used that team last year, it is theirs until they surrender it as their team.
6 : Just draw numbers out of a hat lowest or highest gets first pick and so forth.
We have had the same situation arise in our league in the past , we just settled it with first come first serve.
I prefer option #1 personally. Who cares if you have 28 Steelers teams, just play the game and have fun!:D

I'm a little old fashioned but I would have the competing coaches face each other and have them take turns slapping each other till one gives or pistols at 10 paces works but it tends to downsize the league quite quickly.

I am just messing with you about the Steelers. Everyone knows about the " IMMACULATE DECEPTION " . You know the play where Franco picks the ball off of the frozen turf and runs for a TD.:D

The last time I checked a team from OHIO never won a SuperBowl. If my mind serves me right....... Ohio 0-2. Steelers 5-1. Nuff said.

I am a Raiders fan!!!!! The Steelers cheated them. So did the Patriots, so did the Broncos. I will never forget.;)
