2 years ago Jimbo ran a draft on the Miggle board that was a lot of fun. I thought it might be fun to do it again, especially since there are quite a few new people on the chat site. Let's see who the real talent scouts are. (You hear that Doomsday?) That's right, I'm a calling you out. :eek: Sure, it's easy to sit back and mock someone for their draft pick. Let's see how you perform under the pressure when the clock is ticking...tic.. toc...tic...toc.

This is going to be done as if you had a brand new team and needed to fill it with players. You will need a full offense, defense and some special team guys, namely a punter and place kicker. In order to participate, you must first officially register here. You need to make up a team name and a place that they are from. If you are not registered before the draft starts, your picks will not count.

The draft will consist of 30 picks. This will give you 11 offense, 11 defense, punter and place kicker and the remaining 6 will be whatever extras you may want. Here are the rules:

1) You may pick anyone, real or otherwise, dead or alive

2) A player can only be picked once. First come, first served. If you pick
someone who has already been picked, you will have to pick again

3) When you pick a person, you must state your teams name and who they
picked. First and last name and position that person plays or played
Example: The Philly Fish pick Johnny Unitus, quarterback. If you want to
elaborate on that persons greatness, go ahead $cch$

4) The draft will start at 9:00pm EST, 8:00pm Central, 7:00pm Rocky and
6:00pm Pacific. You will have 20 hours to make your pick. If you do not
pick in time, then you will have to make 2 picks the next round.

5) The round will close at 5:00pm EST, 4:00pm Central, 3:00pm Rocky and
2:00pm Pacific the following day. This is to give me enough time to
update the players picked list.

6) Approximately 1 hour before the next round, I will post a list of players
that have been picked. Please keep yourself informed so that you don't
get chastised and publically humiliated for being a dummy. mtmstnks

7) You only get one pick per round, unless you have missed a round or you
picked a previously chosen player. You may make more than one pick to
get yourself caught back up. If you fall 5 picks behind, you must make at
least one pick the next round. If you do not make a pick, then all of
your previouly chosen picks will be thrown back into the pool and you will
be forever banished into the Matt Millan Draft Pickers Society. mgngcrz

8) Smack talking is mandatory. After all, what's the fun of drafting Len
Dawson if you can't rub it in Weirdwolfs face? :chr:

9) If you can't make your pick, you may appoint someone else to make the
pick for you. They will need to clarify who they are picking for.

10) You may trade players for other players, but not for draft picks. It gets
confusing enough as it is. You need to let me know what players are
being traded.


At the end of the draft, I will post each teams picks. I will put them up for a vote. The coach that wins the vote for best draft will go down in the anals of MF history as being intelligent and football-smart. I will also custom hand paint their fantasy team in the traditional dark-offense white-defense uniform scheme so that they can play with their picks. frstplc

I've got a track meet that night (weather permitting) so I may be a little late on my pick, but I'll try to get it in.

No problem, you'll have until 5:00pm EST the next day to make your first pick. Just hope he isn't taken before you get there. Be prepared and always have back-up picks ready. rfr$

When are we going to learn the order of the draft? And I'm assuming it's random.

Bager, last time we tried to keep an order, but some guys lollygagged around so much that it took forever to get one round in. So... instead it's just make your pick when the round starts. No particular order, first come, first picked. If someone else beats you to it, then go with your next shot.

Also, my apologies to Doomsday. Looks like I was taunting him when I really meant Dallcow4life. Sorry about the mix up. You Cowboy guys all look alike to me. :o So how's about it Dallcow?
