Some stuff about the Browns

i spoke via email last week about getting a Browns team, there are several reasons,
they used to be in the national league
they have cool looking plain uniforms
they have a stud that ran amuck over defense today
they have the number one kickoff for TD guys in history- done it today.
they.....may hire mike holmgren, we know that means winning.
i can have a team with jim BROWN on them

so, what uniform should i do.
1 brown top,white pant
2 brown top,orange pant
3 white top,white pant
4 white top,orange pant
5 white top,brown pant

i like number 5 so far the best. let me know what you think.

Taylor 12-20-2009 09:11 PM

#1 or #5, I can't stand the look with the orange pants.

Lindyhopper49 12-20-2009 10:10 PM

their current home unis are my fav of theirs. the Dark brown jerseys really makes the orange helmets pop

I have

the Browns done by Reggie with White Jerseys, Orange Pants. Beautiful.

eflfanatic 12-20-2009 11:09 PM

Brown's Uni

# 3 the classic white and white especially if you are going to have Jim Brown on your team.

Tomkat 12-20-2009 11:23 PM

.

I did mine brown jersey/orange pants and white jersey/orange pants. I'm gonna do another all white, with single black stripe on helmet and number on side. So, that one would be my vote.

mark robin 12-21-2009 12:00 AM

i like the ones with the numbers on the side, problem is, i was not old enough to have seen that uniform on tv. and jim brown looks best in the all white uni's for sure. i have a little time before i do them or have them done, but im still leaning slightly to what they wore today...just looked tuff.
the Brian Sipe brown over orange looks great too just like in tomkats avatar.

Lindyhopper49 12-21-2009 12:34 AM

ooo can I change my vote to the all whites too... that is a nice look

ChrisStacey 12-21-2009 01:22 AM

Browns ( in all ) White......

Mark,
I would go with the All-White uniform.Always
thought that was a great looking uni.One of
my favorites.....

thanks guys. im stubborn, and im like in the 70's , sitting in a small room using testors enamel....lol,, loopty doo. i finally had sense to turn on ceiling fan, kept getting that wierd feeling. i got through most of the offense late in the nite, hopefully i can get them finished today.. ive never used BB figs to paint on, they are a little different than fab 5. i will need to do a little bit of touchups on some areas where ive bumped colors, because im not used to the shapes. BUT, i am digging this brown top/ orange pant look. may do all 22 this way, heck i have 4 tudor 11 man teams of the all white uniform.
man, wow, yours look awesome though. thanks again for the help guys.

wow Tomkat, you like the browns a little maybe.... super nice. im using a metal stylus to paint with, that where my problems come in, in tight areas, i have to use the brushes, and i like keeping them clean so it takes a while. i did find out why i stopped painting a few years ago, cant paint a straight stripe worth a dang, but oh well, it reminds me of the 70's when all my stripes were crooked...lol. thanks again guys for your votes and suggestions and the pics

Tomkat 12-28-2009 03:19 AM

.

Something to try, which I started doing after I did those Browns . . . paint the stripe from the inside out. Paint the white, then the brown on both sides, then the orange. When painting from outside in, it's too hard to keep the edge of both sides of the stripe straight. If you paint inside out, you only have to worry about the inside edge cause you're going to paint over the outside edge next.

WE all know the Brown pants were hot! It got me thinking about brown pants and brown shirts!

My home jerseys..... I kinda miss my Brownies

mark robin 12-28-2009 01:32 PM

KOOL all this chatter 'bout them even has then winning in the NFL. i must confess, on my sock stripes, i have done the large one brown stripe.... i know its not old school, but , man, i think it looks pretty good, and its alot easier to paint than the multiple sock stripe. nice pics Treks1.
