My first experience with the Dixie League was really a good one. Bryan and Joel did an excellent job of putting together what I thought could have easily passed for a Miniature Football tournament. The church where we played was quite spacious, and Joel put out enough food and drink to feed an army. I got to see a lot of old friends like Bee, Mark, Adrian, Will, Dave and Brian Redmond, David Nichols, and Lavell; it was like attending a family reunion. Next I got to meet a great group of coaches for the very first time… Butch Carter, Matt and his son Ryan, Charles Lane, Jasper Scott (a very skillful player), Gary Pate, Steve “Boss” Hogge, Chris “Big” Franco, Bennie Gibson (who was cracking all of us up at the end of the night), Chet Dakota, Ben Kilgore, Dan long, Jeff Cameron, and Leonard Crawford the Ghost Rider. I’m sorry I can’t remember everybody else’s names but it was truly a pleasure hanging out with all of you. The atmosphere was perfect for Miniature Football fellowship.

I want to give a special thanks to Joel, and Foy Pritchard and Matt for opening up their home, and treating me like family. From the moment I arrived up until the time I left, they were very generous with their hospitality. Guys let me tell ya’ll something… Joel’s wife Foy laid out a dinner Friday evening that can only be described as a Royal Feast. From Lobster tails, butterfly shrimp, twice-baked potatoes, salad, biscuits, and all the fixins. Bennie, Butch and I ate like Kings. WOW!!!

Bee and Joel… Thanks for all your help, and thanks for being such wonderful hosts.
