Thanks. Your idea is one that should get looked at further. Not sure how to incorporate it for a fiberboard yet.

I made another one last night with a range of 40 yards (620 field) from the play out of a red coathanger and actualy sewed the thread through the ball so that it hung better. I am sure that somedody is going to take this and refine it even further. Eventually it could be made with clear plastic...Guttmann-hint hint!?!

New passing game

Wow cool idea gotta be lots of fun,and just think if a player performs poorly you can read him the riot act and then hang him on the spot! That should keep the plastics in line!
LOL

Football

Hey Weirdwolf, I actually sculpted a football and inserted a tiny rod into the center of the ball. I then threaded the rod. The ball hangs and swings perfectly!!

The reason i think this is worth a shot

I play using the MPFL system. During a pass play, the reception is made, and sometimes there might be a brief amount of time left on the timed stoppage. Currently with the football on a magnet, on the board, you stop the game when the pass is complete or intercepted, so you can remove the ball magnet from the field. With this method, no stoppage will be necessary, unless of course the timed stoppage is over, in which case adjustments are made.

So now the next step is to holographically project the ball in the air and when the player breaks that or....whoa....I seriously just thought of this.....a laser pointer held above the field pointing downward. First one to hit the light just keeps moving.....Geno, get on it!

Why not put the holder on the side of the board (rail) so, players dont run into the structure holding the football. This way the only thing hanging in the field of play is the football.

A clip of some sort would work. A clip with the wire going up and over to cover all areas of the playing field. Make the wire pivotable. Allow the string to be made longer or shorter. This way the apparatus can be stable at one point on the outside of the board. Like a crane.
