Agreed

I totally agree Wolf. This is the best board out there and it is very well run. The question didn't ask that. It asked why folks leave. It's like anything else. 90% of things can go right (in this case it'S more like 98%) but certain people focus on the percent that went wrong. They can't get past that part.

By they way, you might want to schedule a potty break in your morning with all the coffee your drinking.

You never post this much...did your employer come to their senses and fire you from your job yesterday? If so, I can probably get a few donations together from the coaches to help you out!! mgngcrz :D

Life happens!!!

Great question Dre.I have been hot/cold in this hobby a few times.Jobs, moves, other priorities take the front seat.EFL is a game/hobby and IMO should not be a way of life.I continue to promote it and run a HS kids league.Facts are, some peole go in head first and burn out for whatever reason. That is life and that happens all the time.I just in the last month got hired as a Head Coach at a local school and that takes up alot of time.I am wanting to do a custom team for MF,but do I take away from the real team or put my time into the lil plastic guys?As a side note,I do think division and ego over certain styles of play do not help the cause.Just my 2 cents.Just because the board has not been ran in a while does not mean that guys do not love the game.We will not see an NFL game for several months, but we still love it will watch come fall--STT

Other commitments, priorities

Like others on this thread have said, it does take a time commitment, aside from the remarks of friends and aquaintances who may think you are a geek.mgngcrz I stop in on this site a good bit to see what's going on and check out the awesome work that some of you are doing. In hindsight, I regret not making the Columbus, Ohio tourney. It would have been a great fit for the flight($$) and my schedule. I still have not gotten out to a league or tournament, but, if not now, I can see myself active after retirement, which might not be far off. For now, though, I'm keeping my hand on the pulse and here and there building up some inventory for a large solitaire fantasy league.:twkr:

Coffee aside...

Life happens for everyone, for me everyday starts like this on-line:
1. check e-mail
2. ESPN
3. MFCA
and not always in that order. Point being, everyday life can be a struggle, most guys REALLY NEED electric football as a release. Face it no problem you may have can't be hashed out among you league or MFCA brothers, I've witnessed it many times as all of you have. You can't do this with MADDEN.

You meet men from all walks of life who enjoy doing the same thing you do:
playing a kids game. I think we tend to revert back TOO FAR to our childhood keep it in perspective: it IS a kid's game and yes it IS FUN- as far as the negative stuff well...it's never a party 'til something breaks!

MFCA 4 LIFE -PEACE!
